![]() My fear is taking the island of Ireland will make it a rehash of my english campaign.i.e. I've taken the island of Ireland, Alba, Isle of Man and Carlisle. MY next and current campaign is as Ireland in Britannia campaign. The Turks were already decimated by Antioch so despite the presence of the Mongols getting the 25 regions quickly was realised. After a period of time I realised I wouldn't be able to keep up with their economy and rate of production of troops and needed to strike a critical blow.so loading up a fully stacked invasion force with 2 generals, I took Alexandria and basically from here on they fell apart. The Eygptains were pumping out troops and matching me for some great battles in the Sinai. ![]() Initially I was really loving this campaign, as it's my favourite period of history. Next I started playing MTW2K, playing as kingdom of jerusaleum in the crusade campaign (very hard). ![]() Didn't realise their starting position allows them to grow extremely fast and because of this, all the above really didn't pose much of a threat (I ourchased Kingdoms before Timurids arrived). Next I tried Egypt on Hard, long campaign, looking for the challenege of completely different religion, troops and terrain, coupled with crusades, mongolian and timurid invasions. While lots of fun eventually I reached critical mass and started rolling up all opposition. Next game I played as Siciliy in a short, hard campaign. In MTW2 I've played as England (long, med), found it quite easy once you defeat the Scots and have an island base to generate evrythng you need. One thing I'm wondering though is, which campaigns are the hardest? I bought MTW2 at Christmas and have been absolutely addicted since. I'm brand new to the forums, so just like to say hello first 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia. ![]()
